Book illustrations

Don has written and illustrated a number of books, with subjects ranging from dogs to doggerel and cats to scatology. He did the drawings for a series of slightly mimsy volumes on animals, and this has haunted him ever since. Recently, he once again he portrayed animals in a series of books written by Bruce Fogle. He also illustrated three of Alex Dingwall-Main's accounts of living and working in Provence. An earlier venture was the ultimate loo book, Are you sitting Comfortably, which he wrote with Sue Stranks, was way ahead of its time. His Bumper Book of CARtoons went into paperback, as did the 'loo' book. His poignant drawings for Jilly Cooper's anthology of love poems, were the perfect complement to the text.
